Ron Frye has been the Communications Field Operations Supervisor for LUS Fiber since its inception in 2008. In his current role he supervised the complete construction of a city-wide Fiber-To-The-Home network for Lafayette, Louisiana. He is responsible for the day-to-day operations and maintenance of all outside plant facilities for LUS Fiber’s FTTH network as well as the company’s legacy wholesale network. He manages all new construction; oversees new customer installations including service provisioning; is responsible for the Network Operations Center and outage management; and manages the company warehouse for supplies and materials.
Prior to his current position he was a Fiber Optic Network Designer for Lafayette Utilities System. He was also a Project Manager for C-D Utility Construction and a Field Superintendent for Gulfgate Construction. He is a recipient of the Kentucky Colonel and the ESGR award. He is trained in FTTH PON Design, DS1/DS3 SONET Fundamentals & Test Applications, PON Deployment, and a graduate of Lamar University in Beaumont, Texas.
